Our trip to France included an encore visit to the chapel at Ronchamp, Monet’s Garden, and Vincent Van Gogh's home/burial site at Auvers-sur-Oise. We really enjoyed the revisit after 10 years. The trip offered an opportunity to better understand what has changed within each of us. The fresh perspective gave us a new appreciation on our life together as partners.

On a day, years ago
Though it sounds a little strange
Thought I'd go someplace that seemed to call my name
Somehow I knew my life would change

Somewhere only pilgrims go
To retrieve a bit of soul
They’ve sadly lost along the road
All the while they hold desperately to hope
To be whole, once again

Then one day, just weeks ago
Made my way another time
Retracing all the steps that used to call my name
Because I knew my life had changed

All the while completely trusting in the hope
To be whole, once again

Another day
Someplace will call my name
Once again
