We were having doubts about the path we had chosen. Things didn't seen to be working the way we had imagined, and we thought it could be time to give it up and take a new direction.

That next day, we talked again about all of the things that were going as planned, and even the surprises that we hadn't even counted on. Our new perspective changed everything, as is usually the case. We concluded that we must either live this life, and create our music and stories for our own internal reasons or stop complaining about it, and go work on somebody elses dream.

This was another real turning point in terms of taming the ego that demands rewards and recognition. We wrote this song the next day stating our recommitment to “stay the course.” We would continue writing our musical stories, no matter what!
